Honolulu, HI
RN; Combined Intensive Care

Army nursing has exceeded my expectations. I never realized how many avenues and untraditional roles I could take. As a nurse you can never be in a rut. Nursing is always changing with the new technology and advancements; I have to change the way I think in order to stay current. Unfortunately for some patients, the ICU is their last stop. Then I have to focus my efforts towards the family. Nursing is always challenging me and it keeps pushing me to grow and learn.
